چکیده
The present paper focuses on the efficiency enhancement of energy-intensive natural gas (NG) sweetening process in context upstream production. A bi-level heat integration scheme is proposed including direct recycling available high-temperature waste and harnessing excess low-temperature an optimized organic Rankine cycle (ORC) for power energy performance whole model was studied under a range possible reservoir conditions. particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm adopted to simultaneously optimize parameters recovery network as well ORC parameters. Finally, order account impact perturbations source sink, off-design analysis conducted using real-time data from industrial plant. methodology found be effective across most conditions covered this study. At optimal integration, reduction 40% up 100% heating requirements amine reported, net electricity production 30% 190% electrical demand background process. use propane (R290) working fluid resulted highest output, whereas higher carbon number fluids allowed better energy/working pressure trade-off. quantification operational fluctuations performance. Energy savings resulting were 68% 103% expected design value, output respective R290, R600a, R601a 60% 132%, 47% 142%, 52% 135%.

Multi-Objective Optimization Programs and their Application to Amine Absorption Process Design for Natural Gas Sweetening
This chapter presents three MS Excel programs, namely, EMOO (Excel based Multi-Objective Optimization), NDS (Non-Dominated Sorting) and PM (Performance Metrics) useful for Multi-Objective Optimization (MOO) studies. The EMOO program is for finding non-dominated solutions of a given MOO problem. It has both binary-coded and realcoded NSGA-II (Elitist Non-Dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm), and...

Amine Gas Sweetening System Problems Arising from Amine Replacement and Solutions to Improve System Performance
This paper includes the significant on-site experience of the authors related to problems faced in amine systems with fresh amine and their possible solutions in phases#2&3 of South Pars gas complex. The amine system was designed as a closed circuit system with the primary objective of removing H2S, CO2, and other acidic components from gaseous hydrocarbon streams. Amine plant op...
متن کاملOptimal Energy Consumption Analysis of Natural Gas Pipeline
There are many compressor stations along long-distance natural gas pipelines. Natural gas can be transported using different boot programs and import pressures, combined with temperature control parameters. Moreover, different transport methods have correspondingly different energy consumptions. At present, the operating parameters of many pipelines are determined empirically by dispatchers, re...
متن کاملAn Experimental and Theoretical Analysis of Foam Formation in the Sour Gas Sweetening Process
Use of amine solutions for the removal of acid gases such as carbon dioxide (CO2) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) from natural gas is the most common method, and, in this process, operational problems because of foaming are reported. Foaming can lead to the entrainment of liquid into downstream process equipment and might result in a situation in which the process specification...
